Forex trading hours over Easter will be unchanged in 2023. The forex market will open on Good Friday, March 29. and Easter Monday, April 1. April, as usual. However, during the Easter holiday, liquidity will be low, and it is possible to see unpredicted changes in volatility.
Forex market trading hours on Good Friday will not change, but some brokers can close MT4 platforms a few hours earlier because of the holidays. But what will happen with the US stock market?
Is the stock market open on Easter Monday?
On Easter Monday, the US stock market has normal trading hours in 2023. However, Good Friday is a US public holiday, and the stock exchange market is closed.
The U.S. Stock Market, including the Nasdaq and New York Stock Exchange (NYSE), is closed on Good Friday. This means that when the market closes this year at 4 pm Eastern on April 7, it won’t open again until 9:30 am Eastern on Monday, April 10.
The only stock markets closed the Monday after Easter, 1 April 2024, will be the UK, Switzerland, Australia, France, Germany, and Italy stock markets.
Stocks market in Europe and Australia will be closed during Good Friday and Easter Monday, while the Japanese stock market has normal trading hours during the Easter holiday.
What will happen with the CFD market during Easter?
The forex market and the cryptocurrency market will be unchanged. But, some trading assets will not be available during the Easter holiday. Each broker has different rules, but here are trading hours during Easter for some CFDs:
