FBS Review

by Fxigor

FBS.com Review
FBS is a broker for the Forex market. It is a service with an international range of work, stationed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, with branches in Indonesia and China. Since the end of 2013, the FBS is a non-profit partnership member, the “Centre for Regulation in OTC Financial Instruments and Technologies” (CRFIN).

One of the most encouraging parts of FBS is deposit insurance. It enables you to ensure from 10 to 100 percent of your deposit. As long as your trading goes, your broker pays back the amount you have insured – in case you lose it. This option really enables you to focus on other things instead of worrying about investments, at least for the possibility of having it insured.

FBS forex broker offers three accounts, each adjusted for the type of trader you are.
The minimum deposit is 5USD, and since the maximum leverage is 1:1000, it enables you to trade a micro lot, so you actually need only 5USD to start trading. And to see it for yourself, all you have to do is open a Micro account upon which FBS gives you 5USD that you don’t even have to deposit, with which you can trade, your first trade, or your test trade.

FBS gives traders a chance to win bonuses up to a thousand USD. A small contest is being held monthly, and winners share this 1000USD prize.
For the traders to work faster, FBS has a MasterCard that costs $20, but for those with a deposit larger than 500USD, the FBS MasterCard is free.

Accounts

As for trading accounts, there are five different ones.
There is a Cent account, and it requires a minimum of 1USD deposit. This is only suitable for you to get some trading experience with minimal possible risks. Since the leverage is 1:1000, it is possible to use it realistically.
The mentioned Micro account holds a minimum of 5USD deposit with leverage of 1:2000. It has fixed spreads at 3 pips.

FBS standard account minimum deposit

FBS standard account minimum deposit is $100 and zero dollars commission. Standard FBS Account supports 35 currency pairs trading, 4 metals, and swap-free trading.

Zero Spread and Unlimited accounts go up to 500USD for the minimum deposit. The “Unlimited” account is an ECN account, which is closest to real market trading conditions. The word “unlimited” stands for total freedom of options and actions for any professional trader.

Fixes spread start from 0 pips, and Floating spreads begin from 0.2 pips. There is a segregated account available with FBS, and you can store two-thirds of your funds in a personal bank, where your funds are guaranteed to be safe. With this, you can deposit 30% of your total investment and combine it with the money in the bank.
FBS takes care of the clients who are about to become Forex traders. There is a demo account where you can practice your trading with virtual funds, with no real money to be lost or won. The demo account doesn’t have time restrictions, as you never know how long you would want to practice.
An analytical portal for Forex news and analytics, trading signals, training, reviews, and lots more is an interesting feature that FBS offers. The portal is FX Bazooka.

fbs bonus

Platform

FBS uses the most popular platform for trading in Forex globally; it is, of course, MetaTrader4. It is also the most popular for CFD, stock, and futures markets.

My overall opinion:
FBS is a standard forex broker, and bonus offers are excellent. 100% forex broker bonus is a huge thing for investors, and you can try it.

GCI Trading Review

by Fxigor

gci trading forex brokerSome of the most important things for being a Forex broker is to have an easy to navigate website, serious interface that doesn’t disturb clients when doing business and take away their focus, friendly and open tone, direct and honest goals, and a nice response to clients.
GCI Online Trading website
One of the websites that has all that, which actually puts it out of the crowd, is GCI TRADING. Their website won’t take your breath away, but ease of navigation through it will save you many heartbeats. All the basic information is right there before you, so you can focus of your work. The platform GCI TRADING uses is MT4 that is recognizable even to those who have only heard about Forex trading. GCI Trading demo accounts can help you to practice forex trading.
In order to make it good, you don’t have to do it better than others; you have to do it differently.
What is different about GCI compared to others?
Traders can have their position opened well above the assets available, and with leverage that ranges up to 400:1. They also offer you Forex trading without any whatsoever commission. Who does that? Not many brokers.
Every broker is trying to have a 24 hrs customer support, so does GCI. But if you need to really try it, you will see the difference. Really productive chat support will persuade you and you will see the difference.
GCI’s trial version goes with virtual money, as you open your demo account, which is 50%, but when you activate the demo account, you get a 10% bonus of real money that you can use for trading.
GCI is open for everybody, so there is a mini account where you can try your ability with at least 50$. You also get a 50$ bonus on that.

Sweet thing with GCI is that it is available an all mobile devices, windows, android, iPhone and Blackberry. So you can bring your business with you.

Tips to reduce MT4 memory use

by Fxigor

Last several weeks, I am getting a lot of questions about Metatrader’s high memory usage. A lot of traders use VPS for trading, signals, scripts. RAM is a big problem.

What to do when MT4 is using a lot of memory? How can I reduce the memory on VPS?

Problem example:
If you open 25 charts in MT4 and, for example, 500000 M30 records x 25 pairs into memory, your MT4 terminal will spend 1GB memory in some moments. On the other side, events tabs, market watch window will spend memory too.

Solutions :
1) Go to Tools/Options and go to char tab and set like this:
Reduce memory in charts section in Metatrader 4 - mt4 memory reduction
This is the most important tip for memory reduction.

2) Remove Market watch window and go to Events tab (Tools/Options/Events) and uncheck :
disable event tab in mt4 - memory reduction

Try to restart VPS 4 or 2 times per month. I do that each weekend when the forex market is closed. In that case whole, VPS and Mt4 will refresh and work much better.

Benjamin Graham Biography – How does Benjamin Graham Value Stocks?

by Fxigor

Benjamin GrahamBen Graham
Ben Graham was born in London in 1894, and he passed away at the age of 82 in 1976. He is a matchless investment manager and a surpassing financial educator. He is the author of many classic writings that have no match in the world of investing. He is the pioneer of security analysis and value investing. His career was marked by working for Newburger, Henderson & Loeb, and later at Graham – Newman Corporation.

Many professional investors hold his books the best for the stock market. Two of many titles that exalt him from the crowd are “Security Analysis,” written in 1934, and “The Intelligent Investor,” published in 1949. Those two books are being considered a must-read, and they have used literature at the universities. Ben Graham is regarded as the most influential analyst of applied portfolio investment. He is known for teaching Warren Buffet and many other famous and successful investors, which demonstrates his ability to pass on the knowledge and not just present the ways and methods of his work.
Ben Graham migrated to New York with his family when he was just a twelve months old baby. When his father died eight years later, his life became preoccupied with financial problems.

He got a job as a messenger at a Wall Street company, “Newburger, Henderson & Loeb,” after graduating from Columbia University in 1914. In just 6 years, he became a partner in the company. After 6 years, he founded a company together with Jerome Newman. His work until his retirement was teaching at Columbia University about finance. Ben Graham went bankrupted during the Great Depression, but he successfully revived his financial status very soon after that. Ben Graham explains his investing style in his book “The Intelligent Investor,” but in short, the basics of his investing methods are that an investment needs to be bought for less of its actual value. “Margin of safety” is the phrase that he uses to describe how an investor should find what to invest in. That means that an investor should find a company whose value is temporarily low but that the company has got a bright future. So the “Margin of safety” is the difference between the real value of a company and the price (lower than real value) that the company is to be bought for.

The price in comparison to the real value is – the better. He was a firm believer that a stock’s market price is never the same as the real value. He explained that Mr. Market – as he called it – will always have the value of the stock prices changing, and how that is an opportunity for wise investors to buy something for a lower price than its real value and sell it when the price gets a greater value. He pointed out how following the crowd needs to be avoided, and the lower-priced stocks need to be searched for.

Benjamin Graham Quotes

If you are shopping for common stocks, choose them the way you would buy groceries, not the way you would buy perfume.

Finance has a fascination for many bright young people with limited means. They would like to be both intelligent and enterprising in the placement of their savings, even though investment income is much less important to them than their salaries. This attitude is all to the good. There is a great advantage for the young capitalist to begin his financial education and experience early. If he is going to operate as an aggressive investor he is certain to make some mistakes and to take some losses. Youth can stand these disappointments and profit by them. We urge the beginner in security buying not to waste his efforts and his money in trying to beat the market. Let him study security values and initially test out his judgment on price versus value with the smallest possible sums.

Basically, price fluctuations have only one significant meaning for the true investor. They provide him with an opportunity to buy wisely when prices fall sharply and to sell wisely when they advance a great deal. At other times he will do better if he forgets about the stock market and pays attention to his dividend returns and to the operating results of his companies.

Have the courage of your knowledge and experience. If you have formed a conclusion from the facts and if you know your judgment is sound, act on it – even though others may hesitate or differ. You are neither right nor wrong because the crowd disagrees with you. You are right because your data and reasoning are right.

The underlying principles of sound investment should not alter from decade to decade, but the application of these principles must be adapted to significant changes in the financial mechanisms and climate.

Michael Steinhardt Biography

by Fxigor

Michael SteinhardtMichael H. Steinhardt
Michael Steinhardt is a New York-born investor who holds the Wall Street’s record, with his partners, of 24% compound annual returns, which is more than twice than S&P 500 for more than 28 years. He deals well with different sorts of trades, long and short options, bonds, stocks, and currencies, and he had proved himself as a versatile investor.
He actually started showing his talents in economics before he was 20. He was born in 1941, and he finished high school at the age of 16 to graduate at the age of 19; he stormed through the Wharton School of Finance.
His career started at the Wall Street, where he worked at Calvin Bullock and Load Rhoades& Co mutual fund for several years. He worked as a researcher and analyst for seven years. He conjoined Howard Berkowitz and Jerrold Fine and started their own business under a New York-based company that they named Steinhardt, Fine, Berkowitz&Co. Steinhardt was the head of the group under whose leadership the company blossomed. But after Fine and Berkowitz left the company, it was renamed Steinhardt Partners.
After a loss in 1994, he gave it a try for another year, which was a success as his fund managed to gain 21% in 1995. That was the last year of his life as an investor.
After retiring from investing, he turned to humanitarian work. He worked at multiple universities as a board member.
Even though he was an investor who was usually investing long-term, on many occasions, he often invested short-term, but he was always backed up by a team of his analysts in such cases. He needed a team of analysts because with investing short-term, he was actually taking a risk because it was not the field of his expertise. His motto said that if you want to take risks and invest, invest big and reward yourself big. He thought that following intuition should not be ignored.

Michael Steinhardt Quotes :

Speculative joy, the joy derived from being right and being rewarded, may well be similar to the rush felt by a winning gambler.

Art is a form of asset. Hedge-fund managers who have made money fast should diversify into other areas.
